    1. Thank you so much Sarah – I think we can take our relationships for granted sometimes and it is so important to just stop and evaluate things.

  2. Great list – I Think this is really important to pay attention to. You provide some really great advice. Thank you!

  3. I enjoyed the article except for #9. I believe a marriage and responsibility are 100/100 – divorce is 50/50. Good work, I found your blog via Pinterest.

    1. Hi Amanda. I like your view that relationships are 100/100 – #9 for me was more about the reality that sometimes we need support from our spouse and sometimes we need to be the one supporting the other. This was incredibly apparent to me when I was suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum in my pregnancy – a life threatening condition where I couldn’t get out of bed and couldn’t move without throwing up. There’s no way I could have given 100% to anything at that time and my gorgeous fiance picked up my share of the responsibilities, including working extra to pay for the medications I was on and pretty much doing everything to look after our toddler, our house and me. I liked the idea that it’s okay to need help and to ask for it from your spouse – as long as at some point you know you are able to provide that help and support as well. We all go through our times of need and a strong relationship can continue through this.

Thank you so much for your insight and I’m so glad you found me on Pinterest (I am so addicted to Pinterest!!).
