Whether you’re a seasoned meditator or a beginner, these scripts are designed to help you tap into your inner wisdom, embrace self-compassion, and nurture your soul.

So get comfortable, and let’s dive into some serious self love.

Why You’ll Love Self-Love Meditation Scripts

Meditation practices are all about connecting with your true self and showering yourself with unconditional love (because lets face it, you deserve it).

By focusing on positive energy and loving thoughts, you can silence that inner critic (we all have one) and fill yourself with feelings of love and compassion.

The result is a deep sense of connection to your true self, and a renewed sense of self-worth.

Meditation can also help you to gain a greater control over your inner voice, allowing you to recognize when unhelpful, negative thoughts are creeping in.

This will also mean it is a lot easier for you to allow those thoughts to pass on by and not have you heading for your stretchy pants and a Netflix binge.

Trust me, you’ll love these scripts! I’ve created them with YOU in mind. They’re a beautiful way to shower yourself with pure love while also giving yourself time for personal and spiritual growth.

How To Use Meditation Scripts For Self Love

Meditation scripts can be used in a variety of ways to help guide and focus your mindfulness exercises.

The first step is simply deciding how you’re going to use them. Some options include:

  • Read through the script and allow its words to guide your thoughts and feelings
  • Use the script as a guided meditation, read through it and meditate on each prompt as you go
  • Record yourself saying the meditation. If this makes you uncomfortable, you could ask a friend or someone close to you to record it for you
  • Use the script as a journaling prompt, and write whatever thoughts and feelings come up for you

Above all else, remember to be patient and kind with yourself as you meditate. Self-love doesn’t necessarily come easily or quickly; it’s a practice that takes time and dedication.

Your relationship with yourself, the way you speak to yourself and love yourself, is the most important relationship you’ll ever have.

Before You Start Your Meditation Practice:

In order to get the most benefit from your meditation practice, there are a few things you should do first:

  • Ensure you have set aside enough time to work through your mediation without interruption. While this can be difficult in a busy world, it is important you’re in the present moment, and giving your meditation your full attention.
  • Turn your phone on silent (or on airplane mode) and remove any smart devices you have like watches etc.
  • Set your space – you may wish to use crystals, burn incense, or light some candles.
  • Get yourself into a comfortable position – this can be seated position, laying down, or using a meditation pillow or meditation stool.
  • Take a moment to focus on some deep breathing and relax your body before you start your meditation. This can  help you to feel more present and in the moment.

A few little steps before you start can help set yourself up for the most  rewarding meditation practice.

Note: This guided meditation script is for personal use only.

Meditation Script For Self Love

To begin, find a comfortable seated position where you can elongate your spine and relax your shoulders.

Take a few deep breaths to release any tension, and close your eyes when you’re ready.

Now, imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet, connecting you to the ground beneath you.

This connection to the earth brings a sense of stability and support.

Feel the energy of the space around you and know that you are not alone, but held by the world and all its elements.

Take a few more deep breaths, letting each inhale fill you with love and compassion, and each exhale release any stress or tension.

Focus on the natural flow of your breath, allowing it to be slow and steady.

As you breathe, repeat to yourself:

I love myself with each breath that I take.

I love myself with each breath that I take.

I love myself with each breath that I take.

Feel the power of these words and allow them to sink into your heart, spreading love and kindness throughout your entire being.

Know that you are deserving of this love, and it is within you at all times.

Now, bring your attention to the area around your heart.

Imagine a warm, bright light growing there, filling you with love and compassion.

With each inhale, the light expands, spreading love to every corner of your body.

With each exhale, the light shines even brighter, filling you with peace and comfort.

Stay here for a few moments, allowing yourself to be fully absorbed in the energy of love and compassion. If your mind begins to wander, simply return to the rhythm of your breath and the warm light in your heart.

I love myself with each breath that I take.

I love myself with each breath that I take.

I love myself with each breath that I take.

When you are ready, slowly release the words and simply focus on your breath.

Feel the love and compassion growing within you, and know that it will be with you always.

Take a few more deep breaths, feeling the love and compassion expanding to every cell in your body.

Then, slowly open your eyes and continue to let loving breaths support you throughout the day.

Meditation Script For Speaking Kind Words To Yourself

Start by finding a comfortable seated position, with your spine straight and your shoulders relaxed.

Close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths, allowing each inhale to bring calm and peace, and each exhale to release any tension.

Now, imagine a warm, bright light surrounding you.

This light is a symbol of love and kindness, and it is here to protect and support you.

Take a few more deep breaths, allowing the light to grow brighter and brighter with each inhale.

Begin to repeat kind and loving words to yourself. You might say things like:

I am deserving of love and happiness.

I am worthy of respect and kindness.

I am capable of achieving my goals and dreams.

I am strong and resilient.

With each word, allow the light to expand, filling you with a sense of love and comfort.

Repeat these words to yourself as often as you like, until they begin to sink into your heart and mind.

As you continue to repeat these kind and loving words, imagine yourself standing in front of a mirror.

Look at your reflection, and see yourself as the warm, bright light that surrounds you. See yourself as worthy and deserving of love and kindness.

Now, begin to speak the kind and loving words directly to your reflection. Say things like:

I love you.

You are amazing and capable.

You are deserving of happiness and joy.

You are worthy of love and respect.

Feel the love and kindness in these words, and know that they are true for you.

Repeat these words to your reflection as often as you like, until you feel fully absorbed in their energy.

Stay here for a few more moments, feeling the love and kindness expand within you.

Then, slowly release the words and return to the rhythm of your breath.

Take a few deep breaths, feeling the love and kindness linger within you.

When you are ready, slowly open your eyes and carry the feeling of love and kindness with you throughout the day.

Meditation Script For Self Love (Physical Body)

Start by finding a comfortable seated position, with your spine straight and your shoulders relaxed.

Close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths, allowing each inhale to bring calm and peace, and each exhale to release any tension.

Now, imagine that you are surrounded by a warm, golden light. This light symbolizes self-love, and it is here to protect and support you.

Take a few more deep breaths, allowing the light to grow brighter and brighter with each inhale.

Focus your attention on your physical body.

Begin by noticing any sensations or feelings you have in your body, without trying to change or judge them. Just observe and accept them as they are.

Next, begin to offer self-love to each part of your body. You might say something like:

I love and accept my feet.

I love and accept my legs.

I love and accept my hips.

I love and accept my stomach.

I love and accept my arms.

I love and accept my hands.

I love and accept my neck.

I love and accept my head.

With each word, imagine the warm, golden light expanding, filling each part of your body with love and acceptance.

Repeat these words for each part of your body, until you have covered every part.

As you continue to offer self-love to your body, imagine that the light is nourishing and healing each part.

See yourself becoming stronger, more relaxed, and more comfortable in your own skin.

Stay here for a few more moments, feeling the self-love and acceptance expand within you.

Then, slowly release the words and return to the rhythm of your breath.

Take a few deep breaths, feeling the self-love and acceptance linger within you.

When you are ready, slowly open your eyes and carry the feeling of self-love and acceptance with you throughout the day.

After Your Meditation:

Just as you took a few steps to set yourself up for your meditation, it is also a good idea to take a moment to run through these simple practices after your meditation:

  • When you’ve finished your meditation you’ll likely be in a wonderfully relaxed state of inner peace and calm. Going straight from that state back into the rush of daily life can be quite shocking to your body and mind.
  • Take a few minutes of deep breathing with your eyes open, wriggle your fingers and toes and slowly start to move your body before getting up and going on with your day.
  • If you have time, this is also a great opportunity to journal and reflect after your meditation. You can write down any insights or realizations you had during your practice, or anything else that comes to mind. This will help to cement any beneficial changes that may have taken place during your meditation session.
  • Spend a minute appreciating yourself and the time you spent on self-care. You’ve done something amazing for yourself by taking this time for you. Take a few moments to appreciate the gift of your own presence, and how powerful it is when we come together in love and kindness.

Now you can take on your day with a new appreciation for yourself, knowing that you are supported, loved and accepted just as you are.

Final Thoughts

Meditation is one of the most powerful tools we have to cultivate self-love.
