How To Create Amazing Graphics In Canva
You should never judge a book by its cover…. But we all do.
And the same goes for your blog posts. When you’re promoting your post on Pinterest (which you definitely should be) and Facebook, it’s the well crafted, eye catching images that gain the most attention.
And the best thing is you don’t need to have a degree in design to create amazing graphics yourself.
Want to know how it’s done? Here’s my tutorial on how to create amazing graphics in Canva.
Beautiful graphics are so important to have, especially on the visual platforms like Pinterest and Instagram. It’s even been shown that tweets with graphics gain more clicks and retweets than ones without. There’s some serious power in beautiful graphics.
In addition to being visually appealing, having a beautiful graphic in your blog post with a simple ‘pin it’ button encourages the sharing of your post on Pinterest. Winning right?? (If you want to see an example check out the image at the end of this post… and remember to pin it!!).

You can also use a program called Canva For Work which helps with branding across all of the social platforms as well as for stationary and other business needs. This is a paid upgrade, however I think it is only around $10 per month. Plus, they offer a free 30 day trial to give it a go! (Not an affiliate, just love their concepts!)
I would love so much to see the graphics you’ve created so be sure to leave a comment with a link in the comments below to show me what you’ve done!!
Thanks a lot for this video, Krystal! I found it so useful 🙂 I actually used to find Canva tricky to use. The elements just never seemed to work the way I wanted them to but now I know what I was doing wrong. Thanks again 🙂
Canva is amazing! Been starting to use it more often and don’t know how I did without it!
Great video Krystal! Thank you for putting this together.
Krystal do you know your graphics word is spelled wrong on your advertising board. You have it spelled as graphics not graphics.

Oh my gosh that’s a little funny. Haha. Thanks for letting me know! Just goes to show what happens when you’ve been looking at the computer screen for too long. 🙂

I love using the Canva App for posting Facebook call to action posts. I love how there are so many great templates to work with too! Great post!
Thanks for this video! I love Canva, it’s a great way to create social media content, but I was always struggling a little bit with it.
Can you make flyers or invitations and print them at home on this site?
I am so excited to try it out!
Thank you so much for sharing about Canva, Krystal!! :)) I was having a really hard time finding the right platform where I can make my images more eye-catching and more “Pinterest goals” as they would say. I know I still got a lot to work on with my blog given the fact that I just finished uni and my boards, so I have no reason now to put on hold maintaining it. Anyways, here is so far my most favorite Canva image in one of my blog posts. I’m so glad I found your blog when I did. You are a blessing to all the newbies. And I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who thinks so. ;))

Ahhhh! I wondered how everyone got such pretty header pages on Pinterest! I know what I’m doing tomorrow! Thank you!
Great video. I love using Canva and have been waiting for their phone app because it will make things so much easier when I’m travelling or in a hurry. Love your designs on the blog.
Wow! Thank you for the great step by step how video. I am new to canva. I am in love with it already. Graphic is something I have always wanted to do. With canva it makes it all the more eadier.
I love canva. I discovered it early this year and I think it’s been my favorite app so far. Now I don’t have to pay a designer to get my posters and flyers made.
Can canva be used for themes on WordPress as well? I’m doing research on starting a blog and trying to find the best product to buy…it’s very overwhelming…
Canva is a tool for creating images like jpegs and documents like pdfs. If you’re just starting out with your blog, check out this post I wrote that will help you – https://hellobrazen.com/how-to-start-a-blog/
